The problems of having to leave my car on a steep hill?

I have to park my car on a slope that is sufficient in my way. I garage, but is too small for my car (and still be able to get out!). I am leaving in the face, bottom gear with the parking brake, and I chock the wheels. I need to know if this will to make long-term damage to the brake / running. Or should I leave on the way out? This is a Peugeot 207 SW end of 07 reg. When I start the morning, just out of speed, have the parking brake, then (display of speed) by the slope of the road, then back in the first and away.
