question of science: the force needed to lift a car 17000N?
Ok, I dug the brain trying to figure out this problem without success. Does anyone know the answer? The question is: A hydraulic lift is used to move a car weighing 17,000 Newtons. The piston to lift the car had a section 50-fold cross elevator piston. What is the size of the force should be applied smaller piston to lift the car?
17000/50 in the displacement of 50 mm, the piston moves fluid enough to move the piston 1 mm. This is a mechanical advantage of 50 (ignoring friction)
